![]() Unlike Niessa, most villagers don't recognize their dead King, such as the blind priest Rene and other NPCs who unsuspectingly entrust him their ingenuous sidequests brought about by the darkened Kingdom's plagues: goblins, bandits, zombies, skeletons, spiders, wolves, plus their mutant variants we set out to kill in their equally iconic habitats–the forest, the sewers, the slums, lava and ice caves, the castle–, places well familiar to fans of the medieval action RPG genre. Thusly resurrected and halfway through the catacombs Reggie is identified by the valiant Niessa who escorts him to Thamos Village, our first quest hub. Notwithstanding such dire experience our playable character–let's call him Reggie–is awoken from the dead by the fairy Celeste in order to right what the darkness-corrupted Queen, his late bride, brought upon Kingdom Gothicus: the tragic consequence of his own well-meaning deed. Meant to be their happiest day it sees our fresh King's life ended by the hand of whom he just brought back into, and this is precisely where our adventure sets in: the Royal Tomb. ![]() ![]() Retrieved March 9, 2019.By VintAge68 | Review Date: February 20, 2016ĭon't mess with the Dark Arts, not even in order to get back your beloved consort. When all players die, the level will be restarted however. Unlike in singleplayer, when a character dies, the other players have a chance to revive him or her instead of having to completely restart the level. Each player is assigned a color and their character can only pick up items with that color around them, ensuring each player gets an equal amount of loot. Each player works together to complete the current quest of the host player, although players who are not on that quest in singleplayer mode will not have their data saved except for items and experience. Multiplayer mode supports up to 4 players on a single server. Players can restart their game after completing all quests on an Elite mode, which enables them to level up to level 75. Single quests are estimated to last 8 hours. Three character classes – mage, rogue, and warrior – are playable, with the game taking place over 30 levels in environments including dungeons, forests, and villages, which include randomly generated areas. ![]()
