![]() History Hunters - This is a chance for kids to take part in a fun and impactful archaeology dig led by the Guildhall’s resident archaeologist where they will excavate mini sandpits and discover layers of history. These are the range of activities that will be on offer: The activities will run from Saturday February 18 to Sunday February 26. Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Jordan Well, CV1 5QP 2) Half term at St Mary's Guildhallįamilies are invited to delve into 700 years of history with a range of hands-on activities at the newly reopened St Mary's Guildhall in the heart of Coventry city centre. Tickets will be available via the website's online portal soon. Herbert Art Gallery is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday. There will be some walk-up tickets available but priority will be given to those who have booked in advance, so those without a ticket might have to queue.ĭippy will located in the covered court at the museum (the area at the front of the building) which is accessible via the entrance from University Square, near to Coventry Cathedral. Visiting Dippy will be FREE for visitors however, booking is highly recommended as the museum are anticipating big demand when it arrives especially during February half-term. Dippy went on a UK tour in 2017 and after a brief return home to London, Dippy will be ready for visitors in Coventry from Monday February 20.
